What type of clothing will my child need?
CLOTHINGSufficient, safe and comfortable clothing shall be required for each child for the varied activities of the center, both outdoor and indoor. Clothing should be kept in their cubby at all times in a book bag or canvas bag. No plastic shopping bags are permitted.
THE FOLLOWING ITEMS TO BE KEPT AT THE CENTER:1. A full change of clothes includes socks and underwear (season appropriate).
2. A sweater or sweatshirt.
3. A small blanket, crib sheet, small crib pillow, and standard pillowcase (for storage of items) for naps or rest time.
ALL ITEMS SHOULD BE LABELED WITH THE CHILDS NAME IN PERMANENT MARKER AND WILL BE SENT HOME FOR PERIODICAL CLEANING
What type of food will be provided?
SNACKS AND MEALSSnack and mealtime are planned to provide learning experiences, promote social development, and foster positive attitudes toward food and eating.
BREAKFAST:A breakfast is provided at 7:45am to 8:45am for children 18 months and up. Our infants are fed breakfast between 8am and 9am. This will consist of a variety of warm breakfast items, cold cereals, and fruit cups all served with milk. Menus are posted in the lobby.
SNACKS:A mid-afternoon snack with juice is served at 3:00 p.m. each day. Menus are posted with all items listed.
LUNCH:Daily lunches are not provided by the center. Send lunch in an insulated lunch box with the child's name on the outside. Please send the lunch entree, and an appropriate snack item. We will provide milk. Use a cold pack as required by the Health Department for items that are to be kept cold, and a thermos for hot items. If you send in a hot lunch entree, it needs to be in a plastic container ready to be warmed and must take less than one minute to heat. The staff will assist in opening and unwrapping lunches. NO GLASS CONTAINERS.
CHILDREN ARE ALLOWED AS MANY SERVINGS AS THEY WISH.During the summer months juice or water is served several times during the day and upon request.
When do I need to sign up or cancel?
TUITION AND CLOSINGEXPENDABLE FEE
A yearly supply fee will be assessed on September 1st for children in the 18 month and older classes. This fee is to help cover consumable materials.
If you sign-up your child who is at least 18 months old during the year, you will be assessed a prorated fee to cover the supplies until the next yearly fee. The prorated supply fee is as follows:
Sept. 1st – Nov. 30th Mar. 1st – May 31st
Dec. 1st – Feb. 28th June 1st – July 31st
*If you enroll in August, you will be expected to pay the upcoming year’s expendable fee
What time do you open and close?
HOURS OF OPERATIONThe center opens at 7:00 a.m. and closes promptly at 6:00p.m. Please be respectful of our teachers. A $1.00 per minute late charge starting at 6:00 p.m. will be assessed, due payable that evening or added to weekly child care Fees. We feel it is proper to call ahead if you are running late.
What about days when my child does not come to the center?
VACATIONS, HOLIDAYS, SICK DAYS, ABSENCES, EMERGENCY CLOSINGS:To maintain the Leaps & Bounds high standard of quality of learning, we must budget for every day cost relating to our dedicated teachers and educational resources. To cover these costs, we charge the full weeks tuition if your child attends only a portion of the week. Emergency closings are VERY rare. We announce our snow closings and/or late openings on a recorded message that will be placed on our phones by 5:30 a.m.

A schedule of holiday dates for each calendar year will be provided to parents and updated prior to January 1 each year.
Please Note: The parents are responsible for tuition when the child is absent due to illness, vacation, emergency closings or other causes.
